The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

One afternoon at a coffeeshop-playdate.

D : I don’t know about you, but sometimes I am reminded of and even feeling like wanting the foolish things I used to want in the past. And it stuns me. How could I still want them?

K : Tell me about it. I struggle with that too at times, even after all these years.

D : Really? I thought you got it all figured out. I thought it’s all sunny in your life!

K : No, no. Those thoughts are the consequences of our past, right? So they come every now and then. But we can choose to listen to them or to the truth.

D : You’re right. Ah man, if it wasn’t for J, I wouldn’t be a decent human being today…

K : Stop saying that.

D : Saying what?

K : That your kid is your salvation. He’s not. He shouldn’t be. He might not need you one day, and what are you going to do then? Go back to your old ways?

D : ….. (sobbing, knowing that there should only be and there will always be One True Savior to whom she belong, through her good, bad, and ugly).

*** press play. minute 2 :29  ***

The past and the struggle are real. But He is realer.
