Stand with Malala and Support Girls’ Education

You might recognize her face from this 2013 TIME 100 cover.

Or if you’re a Bieber fan, you might have seen a screenshot of her FaceTime-ing with JB on the pop star’s instagram back in 2014.

So who is Malala? What does she do?

She is a 19 year-old, Noble Peace Prize winner who fights for girls’ education around the world. How did she start? Amazingly, through blogging! Yup. This Pakistani girl started making a change by blogging for BBC about the banning of girls from school in her hometown in Swat Valley, Pakistan by the Taliban.

She then got shot in 2013 for going to school and for exposing the Taliban’s plan to eradicate women’s right to education. But then in 2014, she won a Nobel Peace Prize and her fight continues on until today (click here to learn more about her).

Sounds like beautiful story right? Well it is, and we all ought to learn from her. That’s why I’m posting this to remind you guys to tune in for the commercial-free premiere of Malala’s personal journey in the movie called He Named Me Malala on National Geographic Channel February 29 at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

But don’t just stop there. Use your social media influence to help Malala because a $1 donation will be made to Malala Fund for every tweet using the hashtag #withMalala until March 10th, for a total donation of up to $50,000!

It’s never been easier to use your voice online to help bring 12 years of safe, free, quality education to girls around the world!

I stand #withMalala, do you?
